The brand Calphalon was founded in the year 1963 as a Commercial Aluminum Cookware Company which was later changed to Calphalon Corporation in 1997. The brand Calphalon's actual story began over 40 years ago in Perrysburg, Ohio (USA) as a small metal spinning business, known as the Commercial Aluminum Company, founded by Mr. Ronald Kasperzak, aimed to expand and upgrade Commercial Aluminum's limited line of aluminum cookware for the foodservice industry.
In 1975, the Calphalon line of cookware was launched into the retail market. For the first time, consumers had access to the superior cooking performance and durability previously enjoyed only by professional chefs. In 2001, Calphalon opened the Calphalon Culinary Center in Chicago and have since opened a second center in Toronto. The Calphalon Culinary Center is a place for home chefs to enjoy hands-on culinary instruction in an interactive and professionally-equipped environment.
The Calphalon Corporation is a prime manufacturer of cookware cutlery, bakeware, and kitchen accessories and all general culinary products for the home cooks.
