A Beautiful knife and Perfect for Every Home%2E This is a perfect knife that will help you create amazing dishes for your friends and family%2E

This is a Japanese chef's knife, a low-tip style with a broad blade and a slightly curved cutting edge. For Asians, this knife is the same kitchen workhorse as a French chef's knife is for Europeans. Its cutting edge being less curved, it provides little rocking action, but for straight-down slicing and precise chopping, it's superb. So that food doesn't stick to the blade, which is called a granton, it is ground with alternating hollows on each side. The hollows create air pockets, allowing food to fall away cleanly. The knife is from Messermeister's first-rate San Moritz line, and its 7-inch blade is forged from a single piece of high-carbon stainless steel. Molded from a polymer that won't crack or warp, the handle is tough and contains a nearly full tang.
